Three Card Poker
Three Card Poker is an interesting casino game whereby a player seeks to beat the dealer using a 3 card poker hand that combines the same elements of poker hand rankings. Instead of the traditional 5 card make-up of a poker hand, the three card poker casino game incorporates the same structure and applies it to the three cards the player receives. The ranking of poker hands for three card poker is shown below:
Straight Flush –J,Q,K all in the same suit (can be any straight of the same suit)
3 of A Kind – A,A,A three of the same cards
Straight – 7,8,9 any three cards in order, unsuited
Flush – 3H,5H,7H three cards together in the same suit, unordered
Ace High or Less – A,2,7 random cards with your high card being the best part of your hand
Three Card Poker Rules
To start out the player makes an anti bet and a bonus bet for pair plus (optional) and then are dealt their three cards by the dealer face up with the dealer’s cards remaining face down and invisible to the player. Once the player has examined their cards and determined the value of their hand, their two choices are to fold or raise. If the player folds, they will lose their bets and if they raise they must put another bet that is equal to their ante into the betting box to continuing playing the hand.
If the player decides to raise and continue with their hand, the dealer will begin by flipping over their three cards. The dealer needs a queen in his hand or higher to qualify. If he does not possess this, the player will win even money on the first bet they have place (ante) and the second raised bet will be a push and returned to the player. If the dealer does qualify, the dealer’s hand will be compared against the players hand to determine who has the higher hand. If the dealer has the higher hand then the player will lose his bets. If the player has the higher hand, then he will win even payment on both his ante and play bets. That’s it, pretty simple right? Now let’s take a look at the Pair Plus betting.
