Red Dog
Red Dog is a simple casino game that involves betting on spreads between cards. The way this works is the dealer will deal two cards face up to the player and the player will bet according to how many cards lay in between the first and second card. The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards with a 2 being the lowest value and an ace being the highest.
The game begins with a player placing a wager in the betting box at which point the dealer will deal two cards from a shoe. If the two cards are consecutive (i.e 7,8) the hand will be re-dealt to the player. If the cards are the same, the player will deal a third card and if it matches the first two (i.e. 8,8,8) than the player will be paid 11 – 1. Assuming that the cards are not in a consecutive order and that they are not the same, then the player is given a chance to either fold their ante bet or increase their wager. Should the player decide to continue with the hand, they will place a wager up to the first amount bet and the dealer will deal a third card on the table. If the third card is between the first two cards in value, the player wins, if the card is outside the spread of the two cards, the player will lose both bets. The payouts for different spreads are as follows:
1 Card Spread – 5 – 1
2 Card Spread – 4 -1
3 Card Spread – 2 – 1
4 or More Card Spread – 1 - 1
